It’s a Fox, It’s a Raccoon…It’s a Red Panda!

“It’s a Fox, It’s a Raccoon…It’s a Red Panda” by Savanah Byers. Created in Davinci Resolve and exported at H.264 Master.

Synopsis: Let’s go on an adventure to find an endangered species. On this particular adventure, we will be listening to a conversation with two, beautiful red pandas in a sanctuary. The grandma will let us in on a little secret about their family history and explain to her granddaughter how they are trying to survive.

Content & Creation: All images and short videos were downloaded from Unsplash and Pexels. The narration was done by me and my granny, which we recorded in Audacity. The music, sound effects, and ambient noise were downloaded from Freesound. The video was edited in Davinci Resolve.

“The Wallet That Walked”

“The Wallet That Walked” by Isaiah Chavez. Created in Davinci Resolve and exported at H.264 Master.

Synopsis:  While coming back from vacation, Isaiah noticed he lost something important… his wallet!  Will he be able to retrieve it? Will his faith in humanity be restored? Only time and luck will tell. Based on a true story.

Content & Creation:  All visuals were taken or created by me and my photographer Kody Joiner.  This video was edited using DaVinci Resolve.  Title card was created using Photopea with the original photo taken by me.  All narration was recorded in a professional studio at Cox Radio Tampa.  All other audio elements are Creative Common assets found on Freesound.

Always Happy

Always Happy. A digital story of inspiration by Nicole Damstetter. Created in iMovie and exported at 1080p (ProRes).

Synopsis: The story of a man who was always happy, even though he had every reason to not be.

Content & Creation: This story was created using a mixture of personal photographs and publically available images and videos from Pexels. An original narration was recorded and edited in Audacity. The project was composed in iMovie with a video track, overlay of text, two audio tracks, one narration, and one music.

Furever Home

Furever Home by David Baker

Synopsis: Story of a puppy that grows old with his first family. The family ends up having a baby and he finds himself in a shelter as an older dog. He is scared and alone but ends up being saved from the shelter and adopted at the last minute by his “furever” family to live out his senior years.

Content & Creation: All visual content from this project comes from a variety of search terms on the Creative Commons search site Open Verse. This video was edited using iMovie. The narration is self-recorded and all other audio elements are from within the iMovie sound effects library.

From Despair to Hope

I questioned whether or not the video should or should not have a negative connotation because of the background music. I decided to try and make the video different from what the melody is portraying. So I made the images at first with a negative influence to a positive influence as if to say what if we take all of these negative ideas and events and try to turn them into something positive? What if these negative events have led to positive outcomes of change? For instance, a riot influences better wages. Everything was done on Canva, with creative commons and open-sourced media available through Flickr and then I uploaded it to Vimeo.

Vote Earth

After listening to this song an insane amount of times to think of a topic for my video, I finally landed on how we should put more money into taking care of our home. The song talks about money and how we are responsible for our votes, and it made me think about how we should use our resources to implement policies and practices to ensure our home will still be home to future generations. And when the song mentions 2025, I thought about the future, and how I hope in the future, we will be more serious about making the earth a priority. Enjoy!
