Actually having the “oh yeah”s etc. on screen is a good bit of oomph, but literally showing nomads when they say nomads is a bit too far. I like how your footage is generally longer, giving a good peek into your night before emphasizing it with… okay, well, I don’t follow why Santa’s here, but he sure is emphasizing.
I enjoyed watching this video. The scenes of people moving between bars capture the energy of nightlife really well, and the different locations help give the piece a sense of movement. The Santa images were a fun touch and made the video feel like it might be showing a holiday bar crawl or festive night out, which added personality to the overall theme.
The music worked nicely with the visuals and helped keep the pace of the video moving. The rhythm of the audio matched the edits well, so the transitions between scenes felt smooth rather than abrupt.
I also liked the variety of images and clips used throughout the video. Using different visual sources helped keep the video interesting and added to the feeling of being out in different places during the night.
Overall, the project does a good job capturing the atmosphere of a night out and uses both the visuals and music to create a lively, cohesive mood.
Hey John,
What a fun song choice! I think some of the visuals were very on the nose, but I loved the parts where you focused on the photos and videos you took yourself. The last asset in particular was timed really well. Very fun video!
