Hi, Oi Kwan! You could definitely see the progression from pupa to butterfly! Your transitions during the faster parts of the audio were flawless! I will say, I wasn’t sold on the choice of music/song. It seemed a little harsh for something so delicate. Unless this was intentional, if so, nailed it.
Hi Shirley, I like how you demonstrated the beauty of a butterfly in nature and in the way people depict them. The sped-up pacing and images were really cool. I think some photos were more “pretty,” while the song was a little harsh, but I did notice that these photos were towards the second half of the video, when the music slowed and muffled a bit, so I think it was intentional. Overall, I liked the video and the pacing of the images to the music was cool.
Hi Oi Kwan,
I liked the randomness of how you chose to speed up and slow down the butterfly and cocoon images when the music tempo changed. At first, my brain wanted to slow down the images so it could see them, but in the end, it wanted to see more, so I hoped it would speed up. I liked how you not only had butterflies and cocoons but also nature and garden scenes. I wouldn’t think this style of music goes well with butterflies, as when I like to sit in a butterfly garden, I expect Enya to be playing. With this, I am expecting Jason Voorhees coming to get me with his Hockey mask and Meat Cleaver while swiping at the annoying butterflies in the way. However, it all blended well together, and I enjoyed watching and listening to it. Next time, when visiting a butterfly garden, I might even try playing some faster-paced music for them.
