Hey Christy,
I really like the funky track you chose and how the pacing of the images works with it, they complement each other nicely. One thing that stood out to me was the order of the images in relation to your theme of advancing. For example, you end with the moon landing but start with microchips and a smartwatch, so keeping things in a more chronological order might strengthen that idea.
The repetition of the lyrics in the track also adds value and helps reinforce your core ideas. While the piece makes sense overall, a few images felt a bit disconnected from the theme at first. To me, it initially came across as being mainly about technology, so the images of friends connecting and having fun felt a bit separate. Though I can see now that you may have been aiming for a juxtaposition between the two.
That contrast wasn’t immediately clear to me on the first few viewings, even with the question mark in the title. You might consider adding a few words or short phrases between images to make that concept more explicit. Overall, great job and a thoughtful concept. It really highlights how we seem to be advancing in some ways while falling behind in others.
