Stamped in Time is a podcast about my travels abroad. Each episode features a different country I have visited and lessons I have learned along the way. Episode 6 is about my time in Nepal, seeing Mount Everest.
I used the sound of an airplane taking off with light-hearted music right from the start as I welcomed the audience to the podcast. I then backed off both of those sounds to transition into a Tibetan singing bell and a song inspired by Nepali musical traditions. I recorded my narration using my computer microphone and compiled all the audio and my podcast image in WeVideo. I then connect it to my YouTube channel to upload it to WordPress.

Hi Christy! I have to start by saying that your image is perfect for your idea. It really came out great! You can definitely tell what your podcast is about. And if you couldn’t the sound of the airplane would; excellent choice. I appreciated the short transition from the plane sound to the Tibetan singing. Great Job! You are so fortunate to have been able to take a trip like this (if true)!
It is true. My husband and I both like to travel. I taught overseas in New Delhi, India, for 2 years, and we had to leave 6 six months because of our visa. One of our quick getaways was to Nepal to see Mt. Everest. We actually could see it from our hotel window.
Hiya Christy! I really liked your introduction for the podcast video, along with the choices of sound effects for it. I was immediately whisked away on a plan and on to adventure! It was a difficult to hear you from the roar of the jet, however – I feel like if you started talking after that sound effect, it would be that much stronger of an opening.
I really love the concept of this podcast and the travel theme. The images are beautiful and immediately create a sense of place, and the idea of structuring each episode around a different country has so much potential. You sounded genuinely excited about your experience, which makes the storytelling engaging and personal. I especially liked the use of the airplane sound and the transition into the Tibetan singing bell — it created a thoughtful and immersive atmosphere. At times, slightly lowering the music could help your narration stand out even more clearly. Overall, this feels polished, intentional, and very inviting.
