This image drew me in as it is a walk I think I need to be on today. The sound and the image together are reflecting how I am feeling given the state of my world currently and maybe the world as a whole currently. I understand that this will pass but right now everything feels pretty somber and desolate like this winter forest path.
Hi Savannah, I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling down lately. It’s important to feel these heavy emotions, so that through their release we can feel okay again. I also find that walking in nature can help me reflect on my sadness, and sometimes that sadness can spark creative ways of expression, like the one you’ve demonstrated through your post. I can honestly agree with your sentiment on the state of our world today, as the audio and image you’ve selected capture its despondency perfectly. It leaves the viewer with a sense of sorrow, with the repetitive and somber guitar strum provoking rumination. Another audio choice that could enhance this image could be the sound of boots walking on snow, befitting of the icy forest setting. I truly hope you are feeling better since your blog post, and it’s important not to lose hope in the brighter days ahead.
Hello Savannah,
First, I have to say—your name is truly lovely. I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling down lately. When I looked at your picture, it struck me as genuinely beautiful at first glance, but the muted grey tones in the wood almost echo the heaviness you’ve been carrying. It is interesting how a photo can reflect our emotions without us even trying.
I hope you’re able to find something—whether it’s a small project, a moment of joy, or even just a good conversation with someone you trust—that brings a bit of light back into your days. You deserve that brightness, and I’m rooting for you to feel more uplifted soon.
Hi Savannah, I also saw the image and thought it was beautiful and whimsical, like a fairy forest. I think the music you chose also enhanced the photo’s magical aspect in a somber way. The two together feel somber but beautiful. I don’t know why it feels so fantasy-esque to me. Also, you will be able to persevere even when it feels difficult to. I hope you feel better!

Again, remember that you will be able to persevere even when it feels difficult. I truly hope you feel better!
