After my eyes went cross looking at so many amazing photos on the CC sites, I was overwhelmed. I know that I take pretty decent photos, so I decided that I would use one of mine.
This is my son, Jasper, over 10 years ago on Melbourne Beach, Florida. We went to visit family friends for the day. Jasper was the only little one and I could tell he was getting restless, so we took the short walk to the ocean. It was early March, still cool enough not to swim, but nice enough to dip our toes. If I had to choose a soundtrack for this moment when I replay it in my mind, I think AudioCoffee captured what makes the image come to life. We ran around on the beach in and out of the water, laughing and splashing. Now that he is much older, I often think about little moments like this, remembering the sun on our cheeks, toes in the tide, and that unmistakable little laugh.
To Note: I only used the intro and outro to HappyFeelings (shortver2) Because the license is CC BY-NC, (allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format) I used AudioMass to cut and splice the parts of the audio I liked the best.
Hi Danielle,
Thanks for sharing the AudioMass link, I used it for my project too and it was a huge help!
Your image and audio pairing works really well. The bright, upbeat tune matches the joyful photo perfectly, giving a warm peek into raising a child. Even the slight AI-ad vibe supports your happy goal without overpowering the visual.
To polish it a bit more, a smoother fade-out with a less abrupt ending could take it to that next level of perfection. As well as having a slightly more dynamic track with less repetition would add more emotional depth and help the joyful mood linger longer. Overall great job and effort bringing your personal story through.
Definitely picking up the beach vibe, you’ve got all the right elements of a wonderful memory working together here! The short, snappy tune sounds like something out of a tv commercial, with the high contrast and the fadeout around the edge of the image reminds me of the trends for editing photograph memories, gives it that early instagram look of the time! Great work!
Hello Danielle,
Your audio choice for your image perfectly portrays the happiness and joy your son was feeling at this moment. Not sure if it is just me but you can almost feel his reaction to the cool water through the image and with the help of the audio. I can see why this is one of those little moments that you and your son will never forget. I completely agree with you on how the audio makes the picture come to life, great choice!
