My name is Jonathan Pupo and I live in Miami, Florida. I have a bachelors degree in Criminology and Information Technology where I worked with a handful of programming languages and coursework/projects. I’m currently in my last year of the MSIT program at FSU. At this time, I’m currently working at Tesla in the engineering department. I started back in September but have had an incredible experience and opportunities so far.

My main hobby at the moment is anything that has to with sports. Whether it’s watching or playing sports, I enjoy all types of sports with my favorite being basketball. Also, I’m a huge Miami Heat fan. Besides that, I enjoy playing video games in my free time and spending time with my family and friends.
What I’m most excited about for this course is to learn about digital media and learning the different tools available for editing and digital media creation. With the help of this course, I’m hoping it allows me to find my creative side and apply it to the coursework and projects we’ll be working on throughout the semester.
Hi Jonathan! If you love sports and live in Miami, I bet this past weekend was a crazy one for you! Did you watch the CFC? It was a wild one! Of course, being a diehard FSU fan, I had to root for IU. What sport are you currently playing the most? Has the pickle ball craze reached Miami?
Working for Tesla is quite the accomplishment, congrats on the position! Based on your coursework, you are going to do quite well in this class. I am looking forward to seeing the work that you do. I do not have an engineering mind at all. It will be interesting seeing how different we approach the creative process. Good luck this semester! Can’t wait to see your work!
Hi Jonathan! I love visiting Miami. I’m in Naples, and taking my kids to a Miami Heat game is on my bucket list! Working at Tesla while finishing your degree sounds like an exciting opportunity, and your background in both IT and criminology is really interesting. I also checked out your online portfolio and appreciated how clearly you explained your interests and skills, especially for someone like me who doesn’t have a strong technical background. It’s impressive how much experience you’ve already gained through your coursework and projects. I can definitely relate to being excited (and a little nervous) about exploring the creative side of digital media, and I’m hoping this course helps me build confidence in that area too. Looking forward to learning alongside you this semester!
Hey Jonathan, it was interesting learning about your interests. I think that your background in criminology, information technology, and your recent experience working at Tesla is extremely impressive. It really gives you a unique perspective on things as you transition more into your interests in digital media work. On a side note, with your interests in sports and in digital media, alongside your impressive background, I think that you would have really enjoyed working with Seminole Productions at FSU, as they incorporate all of your interests into one entire program with room to grow and travel. Maybe it could be something that you could look into if you ever visit the campus before graduating. Overall, I do think that this course will be a great way for you to learn more skills and tap into your creative side while experimenting with new digital media tools. I can’t wait to see how you excel and progress throughout this course. I am excited to work and learn alongside you this semester.
