Hi Sarah!
I enjoyed following along with your children’s short story, with the images complementing the plot as it flowed. The pacing of the visuals matched the narrative, which made it easy to follow along with the theme. The theme of collaboration and brotherhood felt prominent in this story, as the characters worked together to retrieve the fruit from the tree. This theme developed naturally throughout your project. The images added depth by providing some background to the story rather than just illustrating the audio you chose since it had no lyrics. The video had a structured flow of the characters’ efforts, making the storytelling engaging. The only suggestion I can make is regarding the audio selected for this video to convey the story. The audio in the beginning felt fitting; however, as the video progressed, it felt contradictory to the positive ending—it felt pensive. I’d consider editing the audio towards the end of the video to pick up the tone and pacing of your story to highlight the message. Overall, there was a good balance in how long each image remained on screen, the quality of each image, and a clear flow of the story.
Heya Sarah,
This was a really cute story, it very much has a story book vibe to it. My main takeaway is that of cooperation and friendship overcoming problems and it is incredibly sweet. With the text out right dictating the story to use it was very much overt in how it presented the story. It felt like a slide show going from scene to scene covering the story throughout.
The music is very much a bit of background dressing with the writing and images being the driving force. The audio really doesn’t change the meaning of the images at all or vise versa. The audio and visuals do match together well but if it was the audio by itself there wouldn’t be anything to grasp plot wise.
The editing was good and nothing lingered too long. The transitions to new images very much matched many of the beats and it did all flow together very well.
Great job!
Hi Sarah,
I assume that the theme you are going for is friendship or teamwork. Great idea to add text to your images to help provide more context to your story. However, I would pick something out that is more of a bold font due to the text being white so that it will stick out more to the viewer for both words on the images and the credits. The images were great in terms of quality and helped to tell the story. I find it interesting that these images were all generated using AI. Overall, you did an awesome job and your story was great.
Stellar job, Sarah!
