The sounds in this podcast help create a cozy, nostalgic vibe. My voice as the speaker carries the spoken word and dialogue, keeping things grounded. It kicks off with the classic sound of a needle dropping on a vinyl, setting the tone with a vintage feel. Toward the end of the clip, I added the warm, fuzzy crackle you hear from a turntable to give it that familiar vinyl warmth. There’s also a laid-back jazzy melody at 88 beats per minute playing throughout, which rounds out the relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Altogether, the sounds blend to create a vibe perfect for kicking back and diving into the world of vinyl.

Hello Amanda! I would love to listen to this podcast–you have such a soothing voice. Having a vinyl specific podcast seems unique compared to a general music podcast. There is something special about the sounds on vinyl and how the album is produced. Your tagline is clever with it’s two meanings: groove as in a song and groove as in the mechanics of the record.
Oh I like this! The audio giblets of a record being played with the faint but clear music in the background really brings this together. It almost as if I am listen to a vinyl record instead of an electronic podcast. This is very fine work! This is defiantly a niche topic but this certainly has the potential for a very dedicate fan base especially with Vinyl back on the rise. I really cant find to much to fault with this. The audio didn’t have any major issues that I could here and the image is very fine and supports this podcast.
Hi Amanda, I love your use of background music effects being a vinyl record squeaking which definitely added a nostalgic vibe. I love how you incorporate vinyl into the digital media course to highlight the history and importance of it in mass media as well. I didn’t notice any issues in the audio that played and didn’t notice any awkward pauses either. Overall excellent post!
