Hi Katie! It was so creative how you layered the beginning sounds with your voice. This brought a great immersive quality to your recording and made it feel like maybe you were recording from space. I was also impressed that you found music that sounded so much like Star Wars while still being usable under creative commons. The music was a little quiet compared to your voice and I had to turn it up to hear it. I think your concept is really interesting and would definitely have some listeners!
Hi Katie! I love the concept of this podcast, you’re building on a well-loved and ever-growing tradition of creating content based on interest in another fandom! Plus, the particular story-verse you’ve picked has so much content to pull from that you’d have plenty of ideas. Your audience would most certainly be fans of Star Wars who are looking to join in on the discussion around all things involving a galaxy far, far away. Combining the sound bite of beeps with the audio was a great way to set the mood, as it instantly pulled me in! I also had to double check the music because I was shocked how similarly it sounded to the Star Wars soundtrack. I think as you’d create the podcast you’d find the balance between music, sounds, and your voice, as I also struggled with that balance. I love this idea and the clip you created does a great job of matching the idea to tone to the final product. Well done!
Hi Katie! Great idea! Although I do not know much about Star Wars, I felt like your podcast portrayed everything that I do know about it! I loved the intergalactic vibe that your voice portrayed and felt like I was in space. The music that you used fit the theme of the podcast. I felt that there was a long pause before you said “so enjoy”, so potentially consider consolidating that to make sure that the audience stays engaged. Overall, great job!
