Jaleen, nice work! Your podcast is very well put together, giving the impression of a professionally produced program. You should expand this out to a full episode! The tranquil music fits the contemplative mood of your show, uniting with the calming tone of voice to bring the listener to a meditative space. The podcast itself reminds me of a guided meditation in tone, yet it explores more complex themes, which is an interesting balance.
The sound effects fuse seamlessly with the background music- it took a few listens to understand what was added in the editing software. I did notice a gap in quality from the introductory vocal recording to the podcast content itself. I’m not sure if they were recorded on different inputs, or if the former was just processed differently than the latter. Aside from this, everything works well and sounds great.
Hi Jaleen! Awesome job! I love the concept you came up with, it is super original! The tone you spoke with was calm and mysterious and paired nicely with your concept. The background sounds were perfect for this theme and really immersed me in the podcast. I would recommend maybe lowering the volume of the background music so that your voice is heard a bit more clearly. I like that the effects you chose are almost video game like, it was a nice contrast to the calm music while still remaining in theme. I did notice that the audio recording after the sound effects sounded a bit muffled compared to the prior audio. I would recommend re-recording that bit so that it matches the clarity of the rest of the audio.
Hello, Jaleen! This is such a fascinating podcast – the imagery of the picture, your calming tone, and the mystical background music all made me intrigued. The music does go up in pitch, so I had a little bit of a hard time hearing your voice in certain parts. At the :27 mark, your voice comes back briefly before fading out – it didn’t sound like the same recording, but I am no expert on how to fix that. Also, the star image that is in the bottom left corner is hard to see -maybe have it around the words? Other than that, this podcast makes me want to soak in a tub and meditate. Overall, exceptional job!
