Hello Breanna, nice to e-meet you! Excellent choice of image, the colors are really nice and balance each other well! The placement of the Title 10 in between her sword is also really creative! The typefaces you used while different, are very similar, it took me a minute to realize that they were different, thanks to the capital ‘E’. Overall the typefaces give off the formal look, like what I’d think of in regards to a public hearing/trial. I also, really like the dark blue, red, and gold that you selected from Lady Justice as they offer enough juxtaposition from each other. One suggestion I’d make is to make the gold shape either a circle behind the text or a bigger oval that goes out the top instead of being diagonal and perhaps more transparent (turning the opacity down a little).
Hi, Breanna. This design looks great! The elegant serif font for “ARTICLE 10” gives a formal and authoritative feel, which suits the theme of justice. The image of Lady Justice is a strong visual choice, and the colors work well together. If it were my design, I would try adjusting the size or weight of the body text to better match the title’s style so the fonts feel more connected. I would also refine the beige shape behind the text to make it blend more naturally with the background. Lastly, I’d focus on aligning the text elements more carefully—making sure they follow a consistent horizontal or vertical line with other elements would create a cleaner and more structured look. Overall, it’s a powerful design. Good job!
Hi Breanna!
Your banner is visually striking as it caught my eye immediately and conveys a powerful message. The choice of “Berner Iustitia” as the image for Article 10 is perfect. With the Lady Justice figure, the representation of justice ties so well with the right to a fair trial and equal treatment before the law. How you’ve edited the photo adds a modern feel to the classical symbol, enhancing its relevance to today’s discussions on justice. The two type-faces used complement each other as well. Also, you demonstrated an interesting use of shapes.
Great work!
