Hi Alexander!
Thank you for sharing your creativity with us. I believe you used the sans-serif font family to title the article in the derivative above, and I feel it provides a modern and clean look to the photo you used to represent the definition. The photo gives a powerful visual that reinforces the theme of everyday people’s rights and freedoms. However, because this amendment is mostly known for the right to vote regardless of an individual’s identity, I feel the photo primarily represents the freedom of an individual’s rights in a modern, everyday routine aspect rather than the right to vote. It depicts the ordinary essence of each person and how they are directly impacted. I appreciate your post a bit more because I would have approached this article in a literal sense where I’d look for a photo of people in a town going about their business, with the background showing a long line to a random building. The random building alludes to a place where people can vote. I think it would’ve visually connected the concept of voting rights with the everyday lives of citizens, making the message even more impactful. Great job!
Hi Alexander,
I appreciate that you used an image of a collective of people to represent the right to a nation. In my mind, your derivative invites the viewer to see the people as members of a nation, free to move about as they so choose, which is in line with the message of article 15. I do feel you missed an opportunity to add interest to your image with the fonts used. To me, they appear to be identical. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Alexander! I love that you chose an image that portrays a group people. This image tells a little bit of each person’s story. For example, the people holding hands are a family and the girls with bikes appear to be friends headed somewhere. I like that the people in the image are clearly in motion as well, this gives the feeling that they are on the way to something. The fonts are very similar and work well together. My only suggestion would be to use a different color text for the title, the green pulls focus from the rest of the image.
