In my work doing Interlibrary Loans, I often wonder how books that have sat on the shelf for a long time between checkouts “feel”. Are they lonely? Bored? In this video, I have shown the journey of a long-ignored book being pulled from the shelf until it reaches the reader’s hands. There are some surprises for the book along the way, but it finally reaches its destination.
I used one copyrighted asset under Fair Use – the music I am listening to as I wrap the packages is Dark Matter by Pearl Jam. The Fair Use is based on the fact that I have captured copyrighted material in a spontaneous or incidental way.
