Hi Katherine! I think your photo celebrating the women’s suffrage movement really helps to describe Article 21. I like how you used color as a background for your text box; it matches the color of the banner in the photo, while still making it somewhat transparent so we can see through to the original image. I also like the color and font styles of your text as well as how the lettering for the article number goes from bottom to top in the text box. The decorative font choice for the article number has a kind of grainy/chalk-drawn look; it complements the lettering in the banner nicely and blends with the simple, bold font for the text of the article. Did you pick the font for the article number because the suffrage movement is something that is usually taught in a history class, or did you just like the font? Also, thinking about the historical significance of suffrage, do you think that using an archival image of the women’s suffrage marches from the time period or an image depicting the Civil Rights Movement/the work to get the original Voting Rights Act passed would have changed the meaning of the article? Also, don’t forget to add a note about the image editor you used as well as any licensing you want for your own creation.
Hi Katherine. The image and the article you picked went well together. I like the color scheme and how the article box matched the banner. The two fonts picked blended well and were not similar or different enough to make it awkward. All links worked and I saw no issues. Great job on the assignment.
