Wow, your post is so evocative! The statue reflects the pain of slavery and the multiple forms it can take. In this case, it was very powerful to have it centered.
The use of the gray boxes fit with the picture, so the color doesn’t stand out as odd. Having a piece of a box poking out on the left side of the picture makes interesting white space with the post. For the typography, the font matches with the image. The sizing matches the image well, not too big or too small. I like the shadow effect on the number four adding a layer of dimension. My only critique is that the typeface for the article and the amendment are too similar, as they were meant to look distinct from each other. To me, it looks like they’re both the same font or at least both serif fonts. Great work on this lab!
This is a powerful combination. I love the additional edits for framing the picture. It almost looks like the front of a textbook or the layout for a very clean chapter page in one. I like positioning Article on the slant of the “4” too.
