The title of your post fits well with the image and Article you chose and focusing on the Article’s protections against child labor heightens the emotional impact of the piece. I also like that you matched the font color and background to the sepia tones in the original image – it allows the characters in the image to still remain the focal point. Some small suggestions I have would be moving the “Article 24” text a bit closer to the text box so that the spacing is consistent and also not centering the text itself – left aligning or right aligning text can make it easier to read, especially with longer blocks of text.
Hi Michaela! Your style is very appealing to me, and the overall look is very compact. The layout is exceptionally well-designed, with the title aligned with the tallest person and the content section matching the height of the two children. The left edge of the text information aligns with the rule of thirds, adhering well to design principles! As for the text color, they closely match the main colors of the image, creating a particularly comfortable view! Also, the combination of the two fonts is also particularly well-matched! The expressions in the people’s eyes in the image are filled with numbness, as if they have been exploited a lot, longing for rest and freedom, just like the text message states, everyone has the right to rest. Such unfair policies have often appeared in the past, and people are now more able to pursue the right to rest, so your retro style makes a lot of sense. Overall, I like all of your designs!
