Food is an easy way to get to know others. For this week’s assignment, I wanted to combine two things I love: peppers and the sound they make when hitting a hot pan.
In my family, peppers are critical. My father grows his own hot peppers – and shares as many as he eats – and my mother-in-law is Korean, so most everything she cooks involves some kind of pepper (typically involving gochujang, a red pepper paste popular in many Korean dishes).
I liked the image because I could already hear it in my head, even though it is water (instead of oil droplets). When combined with the sizzling sound, it transforms into a combination that makes me hungry!
Hi Chris! I really like how the sound you choose enhances the image. I can almost smell the peppers through my screen. While I do enjoy the sound you chose, I wonder if there was another sound, perhaps a song you could have attached to show how peppers make you feel.
Hi Chris,
Loved getting to know more about you through the photograph you chose above. I would say I am a medium kind of gal. I can handle some heat but prefer to live life on the safer side when it comes to heat.
The photo and the sounds are on the verge of contrasting one another. When I see the photo it is apparent the peppers are in most likely water but the peppers stand out to me first and normally are associated with something spicy. The sound making the sizzling hot sound is on par with the photo but I would have loved to have heard something that was the polar opposite when it came to sound and how you could have found the invisible strings that tie them to one another.
Overall great job using the resources we were provided to find the above items and it was nice to get to know more about you and what you like personally.
