Hey everyone! My name is Pritish. I am an international student born and raised in India. I have been living in Tallahassee since fall 2023. I am pursuing my master’s degree in information technology from Florida State University. I worked as a project engineer for a multinational company in India for a year after I graduated.
I like to play and learn guitar I took this as a hobby during my undergraduate years. I wanted to learn how to play guitar ever since I was a kid but I did not got the chance to do so. During the COVID lockdown, I started to learn guitar on a regular basis. I also like to play video games especially open-world games as it is always fun to explore and find the various things developers have added to open-world games.
I also like to watch movies especially comedy movies or movies from Marvel Cinematic Universe or DC Cinematic Universe. Here is the list top 100 comedy movies to watch. I have always liked photography and I always wanted to learn cinematography. I hope to learn basic image editing and video editing to enhance my photography skills.

It’s very impressive that you came all the way from India to study Information Technology at FSU. I hope you don’t miss your home too much and that you’ve found things you enjoy here! I am curious to how you learned to play guitar. Did you have a tutor or did you teach yourself? I don’t play any instruments but I would love to learn one someday. I remember wanting to play the saxophone as a child, but that might have been because of Lisa Simpson (haha). I really like the shot of your guitar – in your next photo, you should try to get more of the neck in the frame, but crop it so it appears that the neck is going on forever into the expanse!
Hello Pritish! It was nice reading your introduction. Lock down was a good opportunity to pick up new hobbies. Having a creative hobby helps out so much with mental health and being able to de-stress. Learning to play the guitar is fun. (That’s a great picture you have of it.) I started drawing with hard pastels during the lock down. Technically restarted, since I first used hard pastels in an art class in high school. I also hope to expand my digital media skills in this class with image editing and video editing.

That’s awesome that you started to learn how to play guitar during the lockdown, I additionally picked up some new creative hobbies during that time as well, such as the harmonica. As for playing guitar, I have a lot of memories growing up playing with my dad, but can only play a few lines of ‘Smoke on the Water’, lol. I enjoyed reading through your list of the top 100 comedy movies. I didn’t recognize some and am always interested in finding new films to watch.
