My name is Shonda Sampson, and I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, where I am currently still living. I am in my last year of the MPA program, taking my final elective before the capstone project requirements. I work at Florida State University in the College of Communication and Information https://directory.cci.fsu.edu/shonda-sampson/. I have worked on campus for the last 22 years and in my current department for 15 years.

My hobbies include hanging out with family and friends, reading and shopping. The shopping is limited because of my 16-year-old daughter who also enjoys shopping. I also enjoy traveling but the older I get I hate the driving. I enjoy attending and watching college and NFL football games and softball games https://seminoles.com/sports/softball.

I know nothing about digital media, so this class will probably be a BIG challenge for me, but I am excited and ready for an interesting spring semester. I hope to learn how to create digital content and anything else this class will offer.
It is great to meet you, Shonda.
I had to go look up the MPA program. I hadn’t heard of that one before. I am in the MSI program. It is great to see so many people with different backgrounds in this class. It will make reading and interacting with blog posts much more enjoyable.
You have a beautiful family! I agree with your sentiment that family is everything.
After sitting through this semester’s first class, what project do you think will be the most challenging for you? I think the typography lab will present the most challenge for me, but I am excited to try new things!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Shonada, it’s nice to meet you. You might want to be careful with all that rattler merch on a FSU board! The nolls can be pretty territorial. Personally, I was never able to get into college football, the scarlet knights are trash, but I do enjoy the occasional college basketball game. There’s nothing like sitting courtside.
Congratulations on being in your last year of your MPA, I bet you’re equally excited as relieved to be almost finished. I envy you as some who has just started grad school but wish you the best of luck with whatever comes next.
Hey Shonda!
Congratulations on this being your last year of your MPA! What will your capstone project be about? I have never had to do a capstone so I am interested in what it all entails!
I played softball all throughout my childhood and adolescence so I am a huge fan of college softball! Growing up my favorite team was the Florida Gators (I still root for them) and I am also a fan of the Virginia Tech Hokies since that is where I went for my undergraduate degree. Florida State has a really great softball team as well and usually root for them when they aren’t playing my Hokies or the Gators!
Looking forward to a great semester of learning!
