For this assignment I at first utilized iMovie and then switched to working in DaVinci Resolve. The credits were created in Canva. I think I got really caught up in trying to figure out a definitive direction to take with this video, but I underestimated the process. The photos that I found and thought I wanted to use wound up being all wrong when I started trying to cut them together. Instead of scrambling to find new photos, I wound up working from the photo albums of just a select few creators on Flickr. This at least narrowed the scope for where I was looking for photos. This was my first real foray into editing audio and video together and I think it’s clear that I get more comfortable with it as the video progresses further along.

Hi, Annamarie. What an interesting take on this song. I really liked the beginning of the video, especially your first picture with the Astronaut behind the symbols. That was a cool transition and timed well with the quick beats of the beginning of the song. I also used one specific source (Unsplash) for all my images as it made it much easier to not only find/access but also to credit at the end. Some of the images after the beginning went by a little fast which made it difficult to see, but overall a lovely video!
Hi Annamarie! I totally relate to underestimating the workload for this project, and also being new to this process. This one was tough!
I like the effects on the first few images in the video. The pixel overlays give a fun glitchy vibe. I also think the images you chose in general are of good quality. I also used multiple images from certain photographers in my video. It definitely made life easier when crediting!
It was a bit tough to discern a solid theme, but the juxtaposition of very American products next to people working in what seems to be a third world country worked well for contrast. Just seeing your work improve by the 20 second mark makes me excited to see your next work in DaVinci!
