Mellissa, I thought your video was really nice! Overall, I wasn’t 100% sure the point of the video or the theme but it I had to guess I would think it had something to do with climate control, and how we are killing our planet and that it’s up to us to make the change that we want to see in the world. The images did enhance the meaning of the music, the music in conjunction with the video made me think about the future of the world which is what I think the video was about. The timing of the videos went really well with the beat of the music. I could tell that it was on beat. Overall great job!
Hello Mellissa, I thought you did a great job with matching the images to the beat of the music – that was something I struggled with a tiny bit in my video. It is not an easy song to follow beat-wise (at least for musically challenged like me). But you did it very successfully! I think your images enhanced the meaning of the music in that they matched a feeling – but it was hard to tell the explicit meaning behind each image. Particularly the beautiful black & white photos. I picked up on the seriousness of the polar bear image and other climate/crisis images, but wasn’t sure how they related to the beautiful photos of art/landscapes. Overall I really enjoyed the video & think the most successful part was the beat and timing of the images!
