Hello, I really enjoyed Artificial Connection. One thing that stood out to me was the incorporation of text along with the images. I like how it broke up the series of images into separate sections as opposed to a long line of images. You did a great job of varying the time that each image was displayed. It’s easy to fall into the trap of timing the images on the up and down beats of the music, which would eventually cause the viewer to lose interest. Also, good job on the timing of the cuts. As we all know, it’s not easy.
Hi Corinna,
I loved the angle that you took with your video. The take-away that I got was that even with all of the technological advancements in communication humans are growing further apart. I like how you started off with photos of older technology and as the video advanced, the technology became more modern day.
The images you chose were a fit for your video content. They really showed the importance of human connection and how technology can only help that connection to a certain degree. All of the images seemed to fit together and I didn’t notice any that seemed out of place or distracting.
Your timing was also very good. That is one of the parts that I struggled with in this assignment, but you did a great job.
