Hi Mellissa! I like your choice of image and article. So often we think of the family as only the nuclear family unit, but it’s interesting to also consider the wider implications of the article in clans and the like.
The crop of the image itself is great. The sign for the burial ground is nicely un-centered, yet there’s a satisfying quality to how the peak of the structure IS centered. I also like how the words look like they’re cascading out from one of the pillars. The fonts look great next to the swirly/old fashioned lettering of the sign. I do feel that the word “Article” is a little bit hard to read, though I like the choice of yellow, the font itself, and the font size. This might be due to the lightening of the pillar behind it, so I wonder if adding letter spacing would be helpful. Great job!
Melissa,
You chose a great image and theme to center on. The idea of “family” has changed so much in the modern sense of the word, and I do agree that it should be protected by the state. The placement of the text is good and I think the image is centered well, however, the text under the image “burial ground” is a little blurry and hard to read, which can be distracting to the viewer. Overall, you did a really great job and I think this is a really cohesive image and edit.
