Hello Corinna, it’s great to meet you. Your representation of Article 16 exhibits a great use of color and overall cohesiveness. The viewer is immediately drawn into the eyes of the child with the help of the rule of thirds. I like the use of color to emphasize “family” related to the text. The text is legible, and font resembles an important government type document. This relates to the political nature of the Articles. I’m intrigued with how you hid a portion of the number “16”. I feel that it emphasizes the face of the young child in the foreground. Also, effective use of the color dropper tool. I imagine that you used colors from the image as templates for the text. Overall, great job!
This is a great example of composition and good use of typography. I like the two fonts you used and how you also used color to create contrast and highlight the word “family” in the article. This brings impactful emphasis to the core message of your postcard. The colors you chose work beautifully with the image while also standing out on their own. The depth of the image (with the kids in the background) is highlighted with you placing the 16 behind the little kids head, this was a visually appealing play with typography. Overall I think this is a very effective postcard and emphasizes the message of your chosen article.
