I was drawn to this picture through my initial search for optical illusions. I felt, and it was once popular social media discourse, that this image had a sound. To elaborate, you could look at this image and a sound would pop up in your head. That sound can most closely be compared to the sound attached above alas the sound of fuzz.
Hi Jasmyn! First, I have to say that you did a great job picking an image to the point that the audio wasn’t needed when I first looked at it. I saw your image first and I immediately heard “sound”. These images always fascinate me in the fact that I know that no sound is being played but I still hear something. I guess my question is what in the picture tells my brain what to hear? Very interesting. Also, great use of your audio. It definitely enhanced the image and it was interesting to see what I was hearing first and what you chose to share with us to see how close it was. Great post!
Jasmyn,
I was immediately taken back to my childhood when I saw and listened to your post! The sound of “fuzz” or “static” reminicient of the static of TV when I was a kid back in the 90’s took me back in time! The audio and the image definitely pair well, although I heard the static before I played the audio. Well done!
