I wanted to post the image above because when I saw this little dog with its sign, it reaffirmed my belief that no matter how big the opposition is, if you are standing up for what is right, you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. I chose the sound of the huge crowd cheering to really drive home the point that even a single person, or in this case, a tiny chihuahua, with a profound mission, deserves all the encouragement in the world.
Hi John, my general reaction to the image and audio is intrigue. I’m intrigued on how you tied everything together so well, good job! When looking at the image without sound it looks like someone taking a picture of their pet dog with a sign during a market or street fair, when listening to the audio without the image I imagine someone being congratulated or cheered on for something they did well or something their good at. The sound does alter my perception of the image because when paired together now it looks like the dog is being cheered on or congratulated for something. The only other audio that I could think of that would tie in to your overall meaning of fighting against the opposition is an audio of chanting, that’s typically what happens during protests. Overall great post and I really like the meaning behind this!
Hi John, the pic you chose is so cute!!! I had an inner laugh when I first saw it. I thought the audio you chose very fitting because it sounds like a gathering of people for a protest. Although I must say the picture doesn’t look like the people are really protesting, just the dog. I think other audio like city ambience would add to the picture as well because the dog and the people look like they are on the sidewalk in a major city.
