We all love listening to music right? Well, do you know the origin of your favorite songs?

Most of them happen to use samples from other songs that were made before their time. Listen to my podcast “What’s da Sample?!?” to discover the original songs that your favorite bops came from. You’ll be surprised by what you already know and you just might want to add the original songs to your music library. So join me every Saturday as I quiz you on your music knowledge. Also, feel free to send me any songs and their samples that you think will stump/surprise other listeners.
In honor of Black History Month, we will be discussing samples from phenomenal black singers all month long. I’m super excited for this one so take a listen at Episode 31 and quiz yourself on this week’s sample.

Hello Cameron!
This is definitely a podcast I would listen to on the weekend! I enjoyed your energy through the recording. I was ready to learn more about the samples from the latest hits! It would have been next to impossible to include actual samples in this assignment (which is a real bummer). I did not hear background noise or ambient sounds but I imagine it would have been related to copyrighted samples.
Hi Cameron,
This podcast was such a creative idea. Good job! I would love to listen to more. I think you did a great job of being the narrator and setting the tone. I didn’t hear any sounds or noise other than you speaking in the podcast. Maybe there could have been something placed at the beginning? I know it was probably hard with actual artists! Also, I like how you centered the image of the headphones!
Hi Cameron, I’m not in your group for this week but I’m leaving a comment. I love this podcast idea! If this were a real podcast I would definitely listen to it every week. I think your voice was very captivating and energetic which made me more excited to listen to the podcast. Overall, great job!
