Your choice of guitar solo transition into your narrations really set the mood of being an upbeat and exciting podcast. The use of the sound effect of the strum of the guitar and fading into the sound of clapping was very interesting. It kept the feel of being pumped up, I could especially see the strumming of the guitar and the clapping sound to be used on the radio. I could see people who are interested in rock to follow upcoming or recently released items, songs. Audio was clear, I really liked the icon that you made, it looks like a CD cover! Your layout was good, the embedded link worked just fine. The only thing I might have changed is adding another clip of your guitar music underneath your narration at least in the beginning so that it transitions a little smoother. Though I was very impressed with your podcast. Great job!
I liked your choices for this podcast! I actually really enjoy the emphasis on electric guitar, since I know those can have a lot of brands and variations that would be great for discussion.
The addition of the audience was also a really nice choice, actually makes me wonder if there are any podcasts with a live studio audience that isn’t strictly removed in the editing. But the addition of it helps give a nice feel, especially with how smoothly it faded in from the end of the guitar strum.
I agree with Kayla in that I think I would have liked a softer simple guitar piece in there, but hard to picture something softer when the established tone is higher energy with the electric guitars, the higher tempo of the tunes, and the energy of the “audience” included in the clip. Perhaps lower the volume of the intro til it fades away towards the end your spoken intro?
