The Burn Book Club would be a biweekly podcast discussing sassy, witty fiction authors and books such as one featured for my first episode, Lauren Weisberger, the author of the Devil Wears Prada series and more. Sound effects are used, such as the book flipping and high heels walking (inspired by her series). The music is uptempo inspired with the feeling of fashion/martini time/sex and the city vibes as this author writes characters in high fashion, famous cities, heels, luxurious brands, and fades out as my voice enters. Lastly, using my voice as my dialogue.

Hi Cynthia,
I really enjoyed listening to your podcast titled “Burn Book Club.” Your podcast had audio sounds of flipping pages in a book and footsteps of a lady walking down a hall which made for great sound effects and background noise. These two sound effects made me think I was in a library or lecture hall. When I first heard the footsteps in the background, I was not sure how that tied into your podcast but when I read your podcast description everything made sense and tied together. I also really liked your speaking voice for the podcast. Your voice sounded very soothing and intellectual.
In addition to utilizing voice, music, and sound effects, your podcast met all the other requirements of the assignment. In your assignment, you provided proper audio and image credits for all assets used in your production.
Great job on your podcast Cynthia!!!! What sassy, witty fiction author will feature in your next episode!!!
Cynthia,
I enjoyed the pairing of the red book and the sound of the high heels walking down the hallway. It really put me in the mindset of almost like a suburban classy book club meeting. Your voice also added a different element to your podcast it drew the listener in and was very captivating. You really executed the assignment and all of your elements came together nicely. the energy in your podcast draws the listener to come back for the second episode even if you aren’t into reading, and I think that is really important for reaching different audiences.
