My podcast series would be about issues and news from library-land. The intro-music is upbeat, and there is an audio interjection “Shh! We’re in a library!” before the meat of the episode, as a fun way of letting the listener know we’ve entered the library! Though the subject-matter is serious, it would be approached in a light-hearted and enjoyable way.

The audio interjection made me smile! It was a very fun way of getting the listener to settle into the podcast. I also found the subject to be engaging and wanting to know more of what would be said on the matter. The New York Library Lion was a perfect choice for the podcast’s poster, especially how the podcast’s title comes out as a speak bubble! I thought it was very clever. Nice work!

The soothing music was quite nice, and the interjection brings a lighter tone to the podcast to help the listener relax. The subject matter is also quite interesting, especially given how many of us are studying library science. I also appreciate the image you chose, as my first thought when seeing the image made me think back to when I was a kid and watched “Between the Lions”. That being said, the background of the text for your image clashes with the surrounding somewhat, and the title of the podcast doesn’t really lend itself to understanding your intended subject at a glance. Using a portion of your narrative, a better title might have been “Library Things”, for example. Also, putting the shushing clip in the beginning might have been better used as a cut-off for the music queue. All the same, the podcast still left me interested in learning more and I would have loved to have kept listening. Good work!

Such an interesting idea for a podcast, with a cool niche subject matter. The choice of image is perfect for setting up the ideas of the podcast, I just might have the title be something that is more evergreen, that doesn’t necessarily just make it for that one episode, but rather the podcast as a whole. The idea of the “Shush!” is so cute and fun and I loved that playful element. Really nice work!
