Haunted Happenings is where your spooky experiences with the supernatural are told by the teller of tales, Kayla. This podcast is where you can get your fix of something real and spooky. These stories are sure to raise the hairs on your arms. For those who are brave enough, welcome to Haunted Happenings.
For the Haunted Happenings podcast I used introduction music to set the stage of the podcast. Then had the music fade out and intro my first voice narrations ontop of soft music. Then added the sound effect of a door creaking to invoke the feeling of the story starting. I finally added another voice narration ontop of different music to give it a creepy vibe. Between all of the effects I had the sound fade out to avoid it sounding the transitions from sounding too choppy.

Hi Kayla,
Very good choice of topic for the podcast. The poster meets the size requirement of a 1:1 ratio. A commendable job on the selection of the image and the font used. They are suitable for the haunted theme. The usage of the golden rule of third is also appreciable. Moving on to the audio selections – the introduction music, the door creaking and the creepy vibe effect, are all good choices for this podcast. The tone, inflection, volume of your narration is very apt for a ghost story. I also like the usage of fade-outs when the narration begins. The credit links for the audio, image and Creative Commons license worked fine. Overall great work!
I really love this topic choice, it’s a common one I’d say but one that is common just because it’s so good!
I love the music and sound effects you chose, they immediately establish a tone and feel for the podcast. In particular the ending makes me think of the old show “Are you Afraid of the Dark?” which marked the start of each story as one of the story tellers would throw a handful of dust into the bonfire, gives a very similar punctuation to the eerie storytelling.
My biggest critique is that some of the audio clips end fairly abruptly, with a clearly heard ‘stop’. Maybe a smoother fade out of the audio or finding a better cut off would work. It’s the one thing that took me a little bit out of the podcast.
