I love the typeface you used in this image, both suit the sort of relaxed feeling that is mentioned in the text of the article. The image does a good job of helping with that as well. The text flows well from the title to the main body in terms of the font choice. Different enough to be distinct while still being similar enough to not be jarring.
My biggest complaint I would say is that I would either adjust the blue of the lower text or darken the box a little bit more. As it is I do feel there is a little bit of difficulty in reading the text. Particularly when it gets closer to the sun. Maybe an outline to the text might help as well if the editor allows for it.
Cynthia,
I love your pairing of the photo and the wording. I have spent some time in Colorado. It is ironic, that it was a trip I did not want to take, and part of that was that I had to take time off from work. (I was visiting my daughter.) Of course, having taken the trip, my work survived without me and I found that I was much better off for having taken that trip.
I think I see how you were trying to match the softness of the photo with your text. However, the text does get a little washed out and going for contrast may have served you better. Overall, great work!
