I chose the picture of the flag because my first thought is wow beautiful, Freedom. Then my thoughts quickly change into all the hurt and the pain that the beautiful creation causes.Everything about the U.S. , the freedom, the diversity, the wealth, everything intrigues me. Why can’t we all just get along? Would that be too easy? Would that create too much power? So many questions! Are we really unshakeable? Solid? In all honesty is freedom really free? Lets stop and ponder the “American Dream”.
I chose the audio called Epic because it reminds me war almost like getting ready for a battle. It also reminds me of how such a beautiful creation can turn mysterious and violent in an instant. Peace, Unity, and Love to all!

So many thoughts crossed my mind as well after reading your post. Not only because over 30 years ago, I became part of this beautiful nation, but because ten years back, I put away my uniform after defending the fundamental vision of this flag. So yes, it isn’t straightforward to get an answer or simply try to explain our emotions every time the flag is at its highest mast. However, it becomes even more complicated to find an explanation when the flag is half-mast?
Thanks for the questions, and take me back to the memory land! As per your post, I think the music perfectly complements the picture; I thought I saw the flag moving. As a comment, I think you need to give the author of the music credit; I’m not sure if just the link and name of the song are enough. Good job!

I do have to say I was really intrigued by your title. It grabbed my attention right away, good job! I think the licensing under the flag picture might have cut out a bit, unless that’s just my computer! However you have the link to the author’s page so that’s good! For the audio I do see that you are missing the credit to the author. It’s tricky to remember all the different steps! I think the audience understands what you are trying to convey when combining this image and audio clip.
