Hi Jocelyn,
Phenomenal work here. I like what you did at the end. This video has a clear message: it is about a real-life issue of human misuse of plastic. The imagery is almost terrifying, as it paints a bleak future if we don’t practice recycling. Overall, you did a wonderful job. The only thing I could suggest is that perhaps it be a little lengthy. Well done!
Hi Jocelyn! I love the audio choice paired with the message of the video. It was eery and emotional and totally worked for this project! To me the clear message was that of humans wreaking havoc on the Earth with our careless use of plastic. I like that you made this topic almost feel like a horror story, which at its core it kind of is. The pacing was nice and kept me engaged. The images you chose fit this theme of overconsumption of plastic perfectly. I also liked how you used some zoom in and pan elements to emphasize some of the images.
Hi Jocelyn! I really appreciate the sustainability theme here! Sometimes I feel really intense anxiety when I see things like the amount of litter in a parking lot or think about how much trash my library produces in just a single day. The images that you chose here evoked the same sense of anxiety as well as urgency. The only thing I was slightly confused about, which might be my fault, is what the exact call-to-action is. I know that you showed both stainless steel and plastic reusable bottles, but I wasn’t sure if there was a good/bad distinction. Maybe some text, or an audio effect may be useful to clarify.
