Introducing him as a world-class mathematician, focus quickly shifts to the assassination of his friend Moritz Schlick, Gödel’s mental health decline, and his death due to paranoia and a dependency on his wife’s support.
Original Assets: Video was edited using Shotcut. Narration was done by myself with some editing in Audacity.
“Playback from the Donation Bin” By Jaclyne Jones. 2026. Licensed CC BY 4.0
Synopsis: This story is about a portable CD player, discarded at a Goodwill, waiting to be picked up by someone in the year 2026. On the electronics shelf sits the discman, lumped together with a bunch of cords and alarm clocks, who begins to reminisce on his time with his previous owner. The story follows the point of view of the CD player, who feels largely forgotten by society and is just waiting to be noticed by someone, hoping for a chance to be useful again. Media Assets/Software: All visual and audio content is originally produced by me, with some help from my partner. I recorded nearly everything on an old iPhone for a more vintage feel to accentuate the nostalgia I was trying to evoke. The rest was filmed on a newer iPhone for more precision aspects. The consistent background music is provided by Incompetech. I utilized Canva Pro for all editing needs, downloaded as an mp4, and uploaded to YouTube.

How to Sew a Dress by Emma Preston. 2026. Licensed under CC BY NC-SA 4.0.
This digital story shows myself walking through the process of sewing a dress, from picking out the fabric to cutting to constructing. While the process is shown, I will tell the story of how my grandmother taught me how to sew, how it has shaped my life, and helped me overcome the challenge of perfectionism. I shot all of the video clips on an iPhone 13 and edited with Canva. I used Adobe Podcast to edit the recording.

Synopsis: The last payphone in the city reflects curiously on its decline from essential urban lifeline to forgotten corner fixture, wondering why people now carry glowing screens instead of waiting by their side for important calls. Through memories of anxious conversations and real plans made decades ago, the phone questions whether human connection has truly changed or if it’s just hiding somewhere. Told from the pay phone’s first-person perspective. He is curious, puzzled, and quietly bewildered and is shown through contemplative voice over narration.
Media Assets/ Software: I used mostly Canva pro media assets for the making of this video as well as used Canva video editor to construct the final product. None of the content used was originally derived from myself and the only slight changes made to any of the content was with the final bit of audio to which reverb and distortion was added. I wanted to use moving images this time around and am happy with the results. Video was exported at 1080p and then uploaded to YouTube.

Software / Media Used:
The video was created and edited using Canva and exported as an MP4 video in 1080p (HD). Throughout the project, I used licensed assets from Canva, Freesound, and AI narration generated on ElevenLabs.
