Hi Delanie! I also chose Article 9, though we had very different takes on the article! Your fonts are not too similar; they are easily distinguishable from one another. The image of the empty bird cage is very clearly symbolic of the “arbitrary detention” part of Article 9. You created that the block placed behind your the words to be somewhat transparent; this was an interesting choice. The pops of color add levity to the words that are not there with a solid background. However, the flowers may come through too clearly for some, leading the viewer to be overwhelmed by the visuals in that small space.
Hi Delanie, I like this take on Article 9 – the birdcage is a powerful image and not one that I would have thought to include. It also made my mind go from human rights to animal rights, which was interesting and thought-provoking. I like your font choices and how the headline is serif, while the text below is sans serif. I generally am not a fan of centered text, but in this case, it works because the word exile stands alone, which is sort of poetic.
