Please…. Sit is about having conversations – the difficult ones. My original idea for the image was a hot seat because that’s how we feel when we’re on the receiving end of a hard talk, but I ended up choosing a black/white photo of a single wooden chair because it emphasized the seriousness of these conversations. Wooden chairs are hard, cold and uncomfortable. Again, similar emotions for difficult conversations. For audio, I tried to capture sounds that complimented a person apprehensively entering a room (door shutting) and approaching a chair (heels on floor) before sitting. The vocals/intro is aiming to cut some of the tension and the music aimed to capture a level of a person wrestling with nerves to mirror all the knots in our throats before a hard conversation.
