Hi all,
My name is Bremen, and I reside right here in Tallahassee. I’m currently serving as the Technology Coordinator for FSU Libraries, where I manage the Tech Desk and the circulating technology for Strozier, Dirac, and Engineering Libraries. This marks my first semester in MSIT!
My undergraduate degree was in Studio Art, where my interests were centered around Sculpture and Electronic Art. I have a broad collection of hobbies, including photography, 3D modeling, casting, blacksmithing, and jewelry work. I also enjoy working with digital media, and I am excited to work on these projects for the course while also looking forward to expanding my knowledge of copyright licensing.
After graduating, I hope to advance past my role as a library specialist and onto a faculty position within information technology at an academic university.

It is fascinating to meet so many people through this program who have ties to artistic hobbies, interests and skills. It sounds like you have a well-rounded experience, and I am definitely curious about how you got into blacksmithing! I am a big fan of “Forged by Fire” and can’t believe that people have the skills to build items like that. On another note, best of luck to you on your journey to become faculty. It sounds like you would be a great asset in the future! Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you, Bremen!
I’m also currently in my first semester, although I’m one of the MSI’s! This program and this class especially seemed tailored for creative individuals who love tech, and I’m seeing that as a common thread with the people who have signed up!
Your role as the university seems like a good one for the program and a great stepping stone to your next plans. Also, when you said “I spent too much time on” and listed 3-D modeling as a hobby, I thought for a moment you meant you designed the circular desk instead of having worked there.
I look forward to working with you this semester!
Howdy, thank you for your service to our great FSU community. You mentioned that you make your own jewerly? At one moment in my life I considered it but life tends to have different things in store for me. One of the first major obstacles for jewerly making was faceting the gems. If you have any helpful insight that I can use down the road when the opportunity presents itself, I would be grateful. My dad recently got into blacksmithing. He got hooked on the show forged in fire. The amount of work and knowledge needed for working the metal is impressive. I would love to see some of your work.
Good luck in your major career, it’s sound very interested major to choose. I’m a master’s degree student studying Information technology major and I work with Geoset organization as video production.
I want to learn more about editing, photography editing, shooting events, and casting. I feel we have things in common which is studying information technology.
