Hello everyone! My name is Elizabeth Anderson. I’m a Tallahassee native, graphic designer, and cat mom.
I started a job at Florida State in the Office of Distance Learning in March of last year, but I’ve worked as a graphic designer and artist for almost six years. I’ve gotten a chance to design logos, posters, billboards, and a lot more. I’ve worked in product design, communications, branding, and lots of other areas. My favorite thing is branding and brand development so I’d hope to become an Art Director or Creative Director in the future.
Personally, I thrive on spending time with my fiancé Andrew and our three kitties, Leota, Zazu, and O’Malley. We enjoy taking trips, playing disc golf, watching new movies and shows, going to watch sports and generally just spending time together.
Graphic design and art is definitely a career where there is always room for improving and learning which is why I decided to take this class. It’s an opportunity to flex the creative muscles and learn more about copyright which is an area I am excited to learn more about. This class is my last to complete the Graduate Certificate in Information Architecture, but it was definitely the one I was the most excited to take.

Hello Elizabeth, I love the way you incorporated one of your former projects and also stated there is always room for improving, even with all your experience. Great experience, especially for a class like this. I see you noted that you are working for FSU and would love to be an art director or creative director in the future, would you want to work with FSU museum and art department or more mainstream? I would imagine FSU has a creative marketing team or something that could be cool but maybe limit you to just promotions for FSU. Are these the first cats you have ever had? Its easy to tell that not only based on the title but by the picture that you obviously love your cats. They even seem to have their own blankets 🙂 I like your areas of interest of disk golf, movies, etc. I could not tell if going to watch sports just to spend time together was more he likes to go and you just go for him or it was mutual. Either way I got a decent laugh from it, because spending time together is the important part. I would be interested to know if you are in the MSI or MSIT program to see how you plan on potentially using the degree in your future. Great blog post!
Hey ElizabethHey Elizabeth, I see that we are both from Tallahassee. I went to Rickards, Nims, Pineview, TCC and Florida State undergrad and grad. I guess I got real comfortable staying in my backyard. What school’s did you attend? I see you have three cats, what kind? They are very pretty, what size are they? Do they like to be held? I used to be scared of cats, the show Cats from Hell painted them to be evil, lol. Then I got to meet two cats when I was asked to cat sit, one I never saw, and the other like to cuddle. Being a graphic designer, do you like to take pictures also? It’s been my experience graphic designers are very creative also in other areas of their lives. Great
design on your billboard design. Was that the first billboard you had on display? Have you thought about designing in the metaverse world? I know someone who had no programming experience and is now hosting and designing for other users.
