Ghosted: A Paranormal Podcast covers everything ghostly. The host, Lisa Spirit, is a retired mortician who loves all things scary. Of course, not every episode can be jam packed with verifiable spookiness, so she occasionally takes calls from her loyal listeners. This week, Jimmy McJames calls in with a bizarre issue in the kitchen.
This podcast has a Halloweeny background track that fades in and out. I recorded the intro with as little background noise as possible, trying to sound somewhere between an amateur podcaster and a professional. The ringtone was added to signal the caller segment. I added distortion to “Jimmy McJames'” call, making it sound like he was calling from a less-than-stellar connection. I also slightly distorted the toaster sounds to match them with “Jimmy’s” voice.

Hello Alex,
Interesting podcast about how someone’s toaster caught on fire. I was a little confused with the sfx of the toaster. How it was used three times and that was fast enough to burn someone’s toast and alas, catch on fire. It would add some extra flavor if you hurt the toaster catch on fire (maybe with a fire roar).
The intro might be a little too long (8 seconds out of the 30) but I do like the creepy vibes of the music though!
The 1×1 photo for your podcast is pretty neato! However, I did have difficulty reading the texts because it blurs into the background itself. The image gives off those creepy vibes that pairs well with the creepy music in the intro itself.
HI Alex, really nice job, paranormal podcasts are one of my favorites! I liked the photo choice for the series, it is a nice balance between the series topic and the person pretending to be a ghost. I do agree that the title of the podcast could’ve been a bit sharper to bring more forward in the photo, but overall the use of thirds was well done in comparison to the original and matched well with the podcast name. I think that your use of the special effects for the toaster was well done and brought you further into Jimmy’s story of the haunted toaster. I really like the voice acting that you did for Lisa Spirit, further capturing the audience into the spooky tales. With the vocal recording, you are able to hear a bit of the room within the mic, but it isn’t too much to where it is overly distracting and takes away from the story. Overall, very nice job!
