Hello Julia, nice to meet you! Overall, I think you did a great job of illustrating the importance of Amendment 14. The composition of the image places emphasis on the aggressive nature of the police officer. The tight cropping of the figures in the foreground help to draw attention to them. The white text is bright enough, and bold enough, to standout against the image. Also, I appreciate that the text is not too close to the edge.
The reality you depicted in this is unfortunately too real. The picture definitely brought up some sad emotions as I thought of the people who seek asylum because they have nowhere else to go, yet face a different kind of persecution. The green and blue tones you used created a peaceful feel that creates a contrast to what the picture is actually showing. Not sure if that was intentional or not but that color contrast really matched the contracts between peaceful asylum and persecution that you conveyed. Nice job.
