Hey, Isaiah, thanks for your post! I really like that you paired the statue of liberty with this article; it’s an excellent fit. The font you chose for the article title reflects the historic vibe of the statue herself, and the time from which she was created. For the text of the article, I really enjoy the bird flourishes that are around the first capital letter, reflecting the freedom that the article stands for, but I feel like the fancy scrollwork of the script might detract from the statement. The layout of your design is well-balanced and legible, so my only notes would be to maybe try a simpler font for the article text, but adding in some free birds floating around it would be a nice touch! Well done this week!
Isiah, great use of image to visually represent freedom. I like the font you used for your Article title, it gives me US Constitution vibes. I might have chosen a less decorative font, maybe not even script typography at all, for the actual definition of the article. I found myself having to work a little harder to read the text than I’d have liked. It might have been cool to use your first font for the first letter of the definition to keep that visual interest and then a less scripty font for the remainder of the definition. The position of the text, within a colored box is nice, but I was a bit thrown off by the outline of the red, I think maybe the red was to try to play off the red, white and blue of the US flag, but I could also be reading WAY to much into that. I would have outlined it in a repeating color from the image like the patina green or darker blue.
