Hi Everyone,
My name is Danielle and I grew up here in beautiful Tallahassee, FL, where I currently reside. This is my last semester in the MSI program, and I’ve enjoyed it thoroughly. The faculty within the College of Information at FSU is fantastic– and I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve learned in the past two years. I also finished undergrad at FSU, where I received degrees in English and International Affairs. I guess at this point, I’m a Nole for life.
This weekend I turned 30, which is a pretty big milestone. With that and finishing up grad school this semester, 2023 is going to be a year of change for me. I have two jobs currently– I work at the Center for Information Management and Educational Services (yes the name is a mouthful) as an office assistant, where I do a little bit of everything from editing and transcribing video to managing a few social media accounts. I enjoy my time there and hope to build on some of the skills I utilize there in this class.
My other job is working as a Teaching Assistant within the College of Information at FSU, which is a lot of fun. I help teach undergrads about leadership development and how to work together in groups. Teaching is fun, but challenging at times, so I may continue on after I finish grad school. After I finish school, I’m interesed in moving to Austin or maybe Atlanta. Stay tuned! Between my two jobs and grad school, I stay pretty busy…
Besides that, I love traveling and cooking. I went to NYC last November during a long weekend and loved it. Below is a picture of a cool exhibit found at the Museum of Modern Art , which is one of my favorite mueums there.

Here’s a cheeseboard I made this past weekend! I love cooking and putting things like this together..

Excited about this class and learning more about digital media production, sound, and video.
Danielle, first off a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! 30 is awesome, and so far my favorite decade of life. I love that you’re embracing change in growing and learning. Since you’re looking at relocating after you graduate what interests you in Austin or Atlanta? I’ve never been to Austin, but I travel to Atlanta a lot for work and to visit friends there, it’s a fun town with lots of cool things to see and do. Your cheese board presentation is very pretty, and I’d happily join you in eating it. What’s your favorite type of cheese? I really love a nice creamy blue cheese on some crusty bread.
Hi, Danielle! Happy birthday, and congratulations on being so close to finishing the program! I’m in my last semester too, and it’s been an exciting ride for sure. That cheese board looks incredible—it seems like you have a lot of fun in the kitchen! Are you a baker, too? I’m a big fan of homemade bread; there’s just nothing quite like it. I love the photo you shared from the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art! New York is such a wonderful city. Do you have any places you’d really like to visit?
