Hello, everyone! 👋🏻

My name is Jenny Choi. I am from Seoul, South Korea. 🇰🇷 I live in Pensacola, Florida. Currently, I’m staying in South Korea. Seoul is 14 hours ahead of Tallahassee! If you are in the daytime right now, I’m at nighttime right now!

I study a Master of Science in Information Technology at Florida State University. I studied Hospitality Management for a bachelor’s degree at the University of West Florida. I’m unemployed right now because I’m visiting South Korea, but while I’m in my hometown, I’m helping my parents’ convenience store called GS25. GS25 is one of the famous chains of convenience stores in South Korea. In Pensacola, I used to work at Chick-fil-A inside the UWF.
I like to enjoy watching dramas and movies, especially K-dramas & K-movies. I also enjoy watching Hollywood movies and other series on Netflix. Do you know or like any k-dramas or k-movies? 😬 I like to watch movies in the movie theater. The movie I enjoyed the most recently is Avatar 2. Anybody? 🍿🎬
Something that interests me about LIS5313 class is digital media, especially, creating videos. I want to grow and enhance my creativity during taking this course. I have experience creating short videos using the mobile application. I created a vlog of me and my dog to share on my social media and created an unboxing video for a product review.
I’m looking forward to enjoying this class and learning new things. 😀
Hi Jenny! I have only ever been out of the country once. Being able to travel to Korea and help your parents is wonderful. I have video edited a little bit too but not enough to be savvy. I hope to gain further knowledge in that area through this class as well. To be honest I had not heard the terms K-dramas or K-movies until I read your blog. I have heard of and listened to K-Pop though. Having a teen at home you would think would help with everything that is popular and learning the new slang, but…he is not up to date on what is trending, so no help at all on that front.
Hello, Mellissa! It’s awesome that you have listened to k-pop before! I hope you enjoyed it! You can find great Korean shows on Netflix, if you have one. I hope this class will help us to become savvy on video editing!
Hi Jenny! It is very nice to meet you. I am Jasmyn and I am in the MSIT program as well. I’ve never been to Korea let alone, out of the country. I do have a nightly routine that consists of watching one of my favorite YouTubers, DancingBacons who sometimes tries food from Korean convenience stores. I haven’t seen Avatar 2 yet, I heard it’s a very long movie. Even longer than Marvel.
