Hi everyone! My name is Adam Alhassan, originally from Lagos, Nigeria (the entertainment center of Africa), now living in Tallahassee, Florida. I got my Bachelors in IT from FSU and now about to get my Masters in IT (this is my last semester). I am a Quality Assurance Supervisor. I have several hobbies, but the one that takes the cake is playing video games, and I mostly play on the PlayStation 5 console. I was interested in this class because we would be working with digital media, which should be fun. I hope to learn more from this class to improve my media creating and editing skills.
I am betting, because you have such experience in video games, these skills are definitely transferable to what we will need to do in this class. How did you make the transition from Nigeria to the state, as far as – what promoted this, when did it happen, and what are the largest differences you have noticed since moving here culture-wise? Interested in hearing more about the big move you made – welcome!
Good evening, Adam! Good to see you in this class after last semester’s successful group project. I did not know you were from Lagos, very cool. Congratulations on this being your last semester! It’s my last semester too. I see you play video games on PS5. I just got a Playstation 5 a few months ago, I love it! I am looking forward to another successful semester this Spring!
Good evening, Adam. Congratulations on graduating at the end of the semester. I didn’t know that Nigeria was the entertainment center of Africa (that’s really cool). I am glad to meet you in this class. I worked with QA very closely when I was a developer at JPMorgan. I didn’t feel much of a culture shock when I moved to the USA from the UK; however, I do miss my football (soccer) games on weekends. I have been flying the Autel Evo for some time, and it has very good picture and video quality. I recently added the DJI Mavic Pro 2 to my collection. In my opinion, DJI’s “follow me” capabilities work a little better than Autel Evo. I am looking forward to working together this semester.
