Thanks for sharing your work with us! I think you picked some great images that were able to create something very moody and atmospheric when combined with your song, very pretty. I couldn’t quite pick up on a specific story? Other than just the idea/theme of memories and the passage of time. Your timing for moving between images felt good to me though. You picked a slower song (100 bpm) and so I liked that you let each image linger to match the overall vibe of the piece and the song.
Hey Emma, great video. The music has a bit of a goth vibe, which I appreciate. It has a very somber feel, with a nostalgic or reminiscent tone. The image pacing is well done, as it doesn’t overwhelm the music. The rhythm portion of this exercise has been my Achilles heel, so I couldn’t say for certain, but it does feel a bit slow, not that I’m complaining at all.
Hi Emma! Cool video! It seems to tell a story about memories, accepting the passage of time, and grief. It was a subtle story, in my opinion. I would say the story revolves around lingering on memories after a loved one has passed, or maybe trying to appreciate the memories that one has made before their time has come to an end. I thought the audio and visual elements paired together very well. They combined together in a new way; I don’t think I would have gotten the same story out of the audio or visuals alone without each other. I liked how some of the moments lingered on the video, making it feel as though they’re lingering on the memories behind them. From what I could tell, the timing of the video paired well with the rhythm of the music. I’m not the best at deciphering beats but nothing felt off about the pacing to me.
