A Team’s Journey

“A Team’s Journey” by Mellissa Clark is an original work created in Clipchamp with an original photographs and video, licensed under (CC BY NC-ND 4.0).

Follow the CCHS color guard team as they start their new journey with a real color guard instructor for the first time ever. With an instructor to teach them proper spinning, technique, and fundamentals; they venture into indoor competitions, another first for the team and the school.

This video is comprised of original photographs and video clips that I shot and then edited later in either Canva or Clipchamp. The audio was recorded with Voice Memos for iPhone, then edited and put to music in Audacity. All assets were compiled in Clipchamp to create the final video.

Hiccups

Synopsis

This video memorializes a memory from my childhood. My dad is one of those “funny” dads who largely stays quiet but will pipe in with a smart aleck-y quip or a dad-joke to make the kids groan when they least expect it. Having such a personality, it would be too easy to scare the hiccups out of me by merely popping out from behind a door or making a loud noise—although I do startle easily, so either of those options would likely have worked! Instead, he had to get creative and scare them out of me… psychologically.

Dialogue was recorded by me and voice acting was performed by myself and my dad, Tony Vanlier. All visual assets were found and compiled by me using Canva. This video was created and edited using DaVinci Resolve 18.

Veiled Prey

Veiled Prey by Megan Kosove

Veiled Prey is the story of a cat’s contemptuous internal monologue after seeing a moving “creature” under blankets. They attack what they find only to see that they had been seemingly tricked by their human.

“Veiled Prey” was created through the use of two separate applications: Audacity was used to record and edit the audio portion of the video while Clipchamp was used for creating the visual portion and joining it with the audio.

All the pictures within the video were taken by me of my cat, Artemis. Furthermore, I acted out the voiced script for the audio portion myself.
