When I look at this photo, I feel like I am using all of my senses. I can hear the breeze blowing, and the birds chirping. I can smell nature all around me, the dirt, the flowers, and the trees. Although I do not eat bamboo and I know it is editable, I know the animals are tasting it for me. I want to touch the bamboo and all the other plants below. Lastly, visually this is stunning and a very peaceful scene to me.
I think “Bamboo Forest Canopy” by The Pug Father pairs incredibly well with Relaxing Sleeping Music: Space and Birds By NameSSs due to its calming melody and birds chirping in the background. The sound and the picture are both calming together to listen to and view. It honestly reminds me of huge bamboo plants that I pass every day to and from work. I am always amazed at how huge the bamboo grows. My memory and love of this plant are why I chose this photo.
I’m very partial to bamboo because of its beauty and its impact on the environment. We planned an entire length of our yard in bamboo to create a green screen and listening to your audio made me want to sit up close to it in my yard and meditate.
The photo is a wonderful up-close shot of a bunch of bamboo and evokes all the imagery you described, rustling winds, and bird chirps. The perspective of the photo also evoked a sense of smallness to me, as I’m looking up into the bamboo tops, a mere observer from the ground. How big must this bamboo look to a lizard or another ground dweller?
Your audio selection is zen. Taken alone I can sense myself in a calming spa, or floatation pod enjoying some relaxation. Paired with the bamboo photo you’ve created an enjoyable sensory environment where I can feel at peace and calm with my eyes open and engaged on a nature scene.
A provoking sound to change the meaning of this photo from zen to something else could be the sound of munching or chewing, in reference to the animals that derive their diet from bamboo, or a controversial sound of chainsaws to envoke the destruction of forests that are happening.
Hi Brittany,
The first impression I got from the picture is that “Oh, I’m lost in the bamboo forest.”
The reason I thought I felt like this is because of the angle of the photo. I imagined myself looking up at the sky and thinking I’m lost in the bamboo forest. It’s like the photo is taken in my perspective.
I played the audio later. As I listen to the audio and looked at the image again, in my imagination, after wandering through the bamboo forest, I think I will soon get out of there and face Mother Nature. The audio makes me feel comfortable, and I think I am willing to listen to this audio when I go to sleep.
